Description: Meditation is the practice of letting go. Just as with asana and chanting, meditation cleanses the mirror of our heart to reveal the truth within us, which is non other than love itself. When we sit together in silence, the magic begins to reveal itself.
Mischa Jaya is an indigo child, a meditator, a bhakti yogi who is here to elevate the vibrational frequency of all of live without exception. A humble yogini and devout practitioner residing in Topanga Canyon, California, Mischa Jaya practices Ashtanga-vinyasa lineage with her teacher Jörgen Christiansson and studies bhakti yoga with Govind Das. She is the Founder + Co-Creator of Levitate LA -bringing meditation to the mainstream with the intention of serving the enlightenment principle.
A stressed fashionista living in NYC, Mischa Jaya found the Jivamukti Yoga School and method as her personal pathway to liberation as it seamlessly weaves bhakti, meditation, animals rights activism, and spiritual scripture into an asana class. Mischa graduated from the 300 HR Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Training under the tutelage of her teachers Sharon Gannon, David Life, Rima Rabbath, and Jules Febre in the summer of 2013. Subsequently she completed the 800 HR Apprenticeship Program at Jivamukti Yoga School NYC under the guidance of her mentor Dechen Thurman who guided her to explore the depths of the ocean of meditation through daily yoga nidra and pranayama prescriptions. Her sweet and devoted teacher Rima Rabbath bestowed upon her the sacred teachings of dharma, the magic of mantra, and the art of sequencing. Both of her teachers are masters of hands-on assists and vinyasa krama musical integration. After traveling the world and living in the Middle East, Mischa Jaya moved back to her home Los Angeles in the summer of 2015 -where she found the Bhakti Yoga Shala and met Govindas who revealed to her the power of satsang and the power of kirtan to cleanse our minds and hearts.
Mischa believes that it is because of the unconditional love that we were given that we have within us a deep seeded desire to share this gift of the bhav - to contribute towards the happiness and welfare of all beings everywhere, and to devote every thought, word, deed, in the selfless service of Ram, Jai Sita Ram!
