Kirtan Vinyasa Flow Saturday, 6pm
My spiritual journey began in 1986, when I first sat down to meditate and found myself up on the ceiling looking down on my body. Since then, I’ve been on a journey of Self-Discovery, leading me to India and everywhere in between -- including the California Vipassana Center, The Agape International Spiritual Center, and finally, to Bhakti Yoga Shala.
Yoga happened to me in 2001 because I was craving something physical, celebratory, and communal. I first took a Hatha Yoga class at Annie’s Yoga Studio in Van Nuys, then later moved to Angel City Yoga, Exhale, Bryan Kest’s Power Yoga, and Golden Bridge, among many others.
My class is designed for All Levels. Expect a vigorous asana flow, but also be prepared to chant, sing, and dance. (It is Saturday night, after all.)
Class ends with a transmission of energy called shaktipat, which gives healing, peace of mind, and awakening to the soul.
I’m eternally grateful to my guru, Sri Kaleshwar and the entire Divine Lineage, including Babaji, Shirdi Sai Baba, and Jesus -- they have showed me the way. I extend my loving gratitude to Govindas, Radha, Andres, and everyone at Bhakti Yoga Shala for teaching me the yoga of the heart.
