Shivaratri Online Kirtan Celebration on Instagram

March 11, 2021 - 4pm to 10pm PST

Maha Shivaratri (the Great Night of Shiva) is celebrated to honor the Shiva Tattva (divine consciousness). It is the day of the wedding of the Material with the Spiritual. Shiva means the “Soul” (divine consciousness) of everything, and Ratri means “Night” (time to take refuge/peace/rest). Shivaratri is taking refuge in the divine consciousness which brings peace and solace to all layers of consciousness.

All over the world, bhakti yogis and devotees celebrate, meditate, chant, and worship the unchanging Reality that is Lord Shiva. Shiva is also the Lord of Meditation. It is also believed that the effect of chanting and meditating on this date is 100 times more powerful than any other day.

Join Govind Das and Radha and friends as we celebrate Maha Shivaratri, The Great Night of Shiva. We will commemorate this sacred holiday by chanting to Shiva together on Instagram Live beginning at 4pm and ending at 10pm PST. More info and lineup to come!
